The Helko Werk Bavarian Woodworker Axe (101.0H160H001) is a powerful full-sized axe built for demanding felling, splitting and heavy timber work.
Featuring a traditional Rhenish-pattern axe head with a broad, sharp cutting edge, the Bavarian Woodworker is designed to deliver strong penetration and efficient cutting through larger timber. Its substantial 1.6kg forged axe head and long 80cm ergonomic American hickory handle provide excellent leverage and power transfer, making it particularly well suited to heavier forestry and property-maintenance tasks.
The axe head is forged from premium C50 carbon tool steel and hardened to approximately 51–56 HRC for a durable cutting edge capable of standing up to regular hard use. The head is securely fitted using a traditional wooden wedge and ring wedge system.
Its Grade A American hickory handle is hand selected, ergonomically shaped and treated with linseed oil to help protect the timber while maintaining a comfortable, natural grip.
Ideal for felling larger trees, processing firewood, splitting logs and maintaining rural properties or bush blocks, the Bavarian Woodworker offers the weight and reach needed when a compact axe simply does not provide enough power.
A high-quality leather edge protector is included for safer transport and storage.
