The Helko Werk Hessen Woodworker Axe (101.0H125H001) is a versatile medium-sized axe designed for everyday cutting, splitting and felling tasks around the campsite, property, workshop or bush block.

Featuring a traditional Rhenish-pattern axe head with a broad, sharp cutting edge, the Hessen Woodworker delivers a practical balance of cutting performance, control and power. Its 70 cm ergonomic American hickory handle provides excellent leverage while remaining manageable for a wide range of users.

The 1.25 kg axe head is forged from C50 carbon tool steel and hardened to approximately 51–56 HRC, providing a durable cutting edge suitable for regular timber work. The head is securely fitted using a traditional wooden wedge and ring wedge system.

Each Grade A American hickory handle is hand selected, ergonomically shaped and treated with linseed oil to help protect the timber while providing a comfortable, natural grip.

Well suited to bushcraft, firewood preparation, property maintenance and emergency preparedness, the Hessen Woodworker is an excellent all-round axe for users who want more reach and striking power than a compact camp axe without stepping up to a full-sized forestry axe.

A top-grade cowhide leather blade sheath is included for safer transport and storage.
